We’re going for it!

The team at Jane Smith Financial Planning have committed to completing a challenge to improve our health and wellbeing through increased physical activity and to raise some money for our chosen charity.

1,000 miles in 10 weeks

So from this month, September 2017, we will kick off our 1,000 Mile Challenge to improve our health and fitness whilst having fun and working together as a team. Over 10 weeks, our team will look to walk, jog, run or even Zumba our way to completing 1000 miles. Whilst getting fitter and teamwork are key; we will also be raising money for a good cause.

Each member of the team wrote their preferred charity on a piece of paper which went into a hat. We then drew out one charity, in this case Willen Hospice, and that is the one that we will be supporting throughout our various individual and team activities.

Nicola Watts explains why she chose Willen House. “Anyone who has ever had an experience of having a loved one spend time in a hospice will see the incredible work that they do in supporting those nearing the end of their lives and their families. To be able to access a service that provides such all encompassing support at a tremendously difficult time seems to me to be absolutely invaluable. Willen Hospice is an amazing charity that deserves any donation you can make.”

Nicola continues. “If you would like to sponsor us, please use our dedicated Just Giving Page. We will keep you updated about our progress – keep an eye on our social media channels for more information and don’t forget to wish us luck.”
