Messing about on the river

In early July we took some of our clients on an evening’s river cruise on the John Bunyan Boat, which is manned and run by volunteers. We met and boarded our boat at Priory Marina, before skirting the Priory Country Park and nature reserves, turning into Cardington Lock and then cruising towards Castle Mill lock.

The weather was perfect – bright, sunny and warm, as we enjoyed a sedate cruise taking in the spectacular scenery. We saw a couple of herons, some ducklings and even a shipping container that has been converted into a liveable boat and has featured on Amazing Spaces!

Along the way we enjoyed some excellent fish and chips and refreshments. All in all a lovely time was had by all with everyone agreeing that it was a wonderful way to spend an evening in great company.

For those of you that missed this event, don’t worry, we’ve got more planned for later in the year.
