Nicola, Clare and Michael are all hitting the books as it’s exam time for them. Nicola and Clare are taking AF1 and JO2 which are all about personal tax and trusts. Don’t worry, we know Nicola has been talking to you about these things for years and she does already have the qualifications, this is simply a “refresher” exam for her and more points towards her now imminent status as a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Michael is sitting his first exam in financial services, regulation & ethics, which is a hefty subject as you can imagine. All three have been revising as much as possible and it goes without saying that we wish them the best of luck!
We mentioned in January that there are some big changes this year, the latest update being that we are soon welcoming two new people into the Jane Smith family! We have a new Technical Specialist and a Business Assistant starting in April to assist the team in continuing to provide the best service we can to you. It’s been a big step to take as we’ve always been a small team but as the business grows, the team has to follow.
This, of course, leads to a rejig of the office layout. You should have received an email confirming the office closure on the 29th March explaining, as we have to have the desks and computers in place ready for our new starters!
One of the most important things to us is that we retain our small family feel. Whilst our team may be growing, we are still at the end of the phone and on email for any questions or queries, no matter how big or small.
Thinking about retaining this feeling and connection with you, we have decided to start a “Spotlight on….” feature in our newsletters. Each one will focus on a different member of the team and will give you a bit of an insight into who we are and what we’re about. This way you will get to know the whole team on more than just a name and face basis so when you do get an email or call from us, you actually know who you are talking to.
